Massachusetts Department of Transportation officials warn drivers in Haverhill and Methuen to expect heavy delays on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8, as crews repair a sinkhole on I-495. Stoughton Man ID'd As DOT Worker Hit, Killed Picking Up Debris On Mass. Highway
Authorities have identified the 57-year-old Massachusetts Department of Transportation worker who was hit and killed Saturday night, July 27, while picking up debris along Route 24 in West Bridgewater. David "Spanky" Sousa, of Stoughton, was struck around 9:30 p.m. while working on the side of the northbound lane near Ext 28B, The Plymouth County District Attorney's Office said. Study Finds 10 Safest Places To Drive In Mass
Icy roads make driving hard during winter, but a new study revealed the safest places to drive in Mass, with Marblehead taking the top spot. The study by Boston-based Jason Stone Injury Lawyers looked at 218 locations from the Massachusetts Department of Transportation and found places that had at least 500 crashes between 2019 and 2023.
