Western Mass Man With Several Arrest Warrants Caught Driving Stolen Vehicle: Police A 37-year-old man from Western Massachusetts with several arrest warrants was tracked down while driving a stolen vehicle in the Greater Boston area last week, authorities said. Police saw a gray Honda CRV speeding south down Main Street in Reading around 7:12 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 18, Police Chief David J. Clark reports.  Officers tried stopping the vehicle and followed the driver, later identified as Anthony Pavone, of Agawam, for more than two miles before it stopped on High Street. Wanted Methuen Man Busted On Multiple Drug Charges In Reading: Police A 37-year-old man from Methuen is facing multiple drug charges after he was arrested in Reading over the weekend, authorities said. George Bryson was caught driving a car with an expired registration on Main Street around 8:47 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 22, Police Chief David Clark reports. The car was also not registered under Bryson's name. A search of Bryson's license revealed it had expired and that he was wanted on a drug charge out of the Rockingham Sheriff’s Office in New Hampshire, Clark reports. Power Surge Shutters Several Business On Main Street In Reading (Update) A portion of downtown Reading was shut down after an apparent power surge in Reading Center, authorities said.  Businesses in the 600 block of Main Street called about having "electrical issues" around 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 19, the Town of Reading said in a statement.  The businesses reported issues like a burned surge protector, electrical smells and flickering lights. Initial reports also indicated a traffic light was out, the statement said.   All companies are currently operating on Main Street in the square for major electrical issues in multiple buildings.
