71-Year-Old West Wareham Man Killed In Four-Car Middleborough Crash On I-495 A 71-year-old man was killed on Friday, Aug. 2, in a four-vehicle wreck that began when a tractor-trailer crashed into traffic as it slowed down, authorities said.  Police were called to the crash around 11:30 a.m. on I-495 near Exit 12. A preliminary investigation found the tractor-trailer — for reasons unknown — slammed into the back of three vehicles, including a GMC Terrain being driven by a 71-year-old West Wareham man, State police said.  Paramedics rushed the man to an area hospital, but doctors could not save his life. Man Found Dead Inside Crashed Car In Topsfield A man was found dead inside a wrecked car in Essex County Thursday morning, Aug. 17, authorities said.  Investigators believe the man was driving north on Boston Street (Route 1) in Topsfield when he crossed into the southbound lane. 29-Year-Old Landscaper From Lynn Dies While Trimming Trees In New Hampshire A landscaping company from the North Shore has lost one of its crew members in a fatal accident in New Hampshire this week, according to authorities.  Members of Leo's Landscaping, located in Lynn, were trimming trees on Conant Road in Nashua, NH, when 29-year-old Amilcar Lopez-Garcia died on Monday, May 15, Nashua Police report. While the matter is still under investigation, WCVB reports that Lopez-Garcia fell to his death. Nashua Police are expected to release more information.

Man Charged In Hit-Run That Killed 20-Year-Old Central Mass Woman A 24-year-old man has been charged in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash that took the life of a 20-year-old woman in Shrewsbury over the weekend, authorities said. Investigators said that Ghufran Mutar, of Shrewsbury, was crossing Route 9 at South Street when she was struck by a car just after 10 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 29, the Worcester County District Attorney's Office reports.
