An Army veteran has been identified as the man authorities say rammed a pickup truck into a crowd in the French Quarter of New Orleans early on New Year's Day morning, leaving 15 people dead and injuring approximately 35 others. Shamsud-Din Bahar Jabbar, age 42, who was killed in a shootout with police officers after the incident at around 3:15 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 1 on Bourbon Street, was a US citizen born in Texas, where he lived at the time of the incident, the FBI said. Police Search For Explosives Underwater After Unexploded Ordinance Found In Needham
State police dive teams searched the Charles River on Monday morning, March 11, after two explosives were found there last week. Magnet fishers found what appeared to be a bomb on March 2 and an unexploded "bazooka" round on March 6 while casting from the Kendrick Street Bridge, CBS Boston reported. Both items were very deteriorated as if they had been there for years. A CBS news team was with the magnet fishers when they pulled the rocket round from the water. State Police Lt. Unlicensed Wakefield Man Accused Of Driving With Bomb In His Car: Police
A Wakefield man turned up the stakes on a routine traffic violation stop when police discovered a homemade bomb, containing .22 caliber bullets, in his vehicle, authorities said. Christopher Graziano, 46, was pulled over by state troopers for a marked lanes violation early in the morning on Sunday, Dec. 11, according to Massachusetts State Police.
