Missing Canoer, 20, Found Dead In Western Mass Pond After Days Of Searching After a nearly five-day search, the body of a 20-year-old canoer who went overboard in Westfield's Pequot Pond was found on Sunday, June 25.  The East Longmeadow man was on the pond with two friends on Wednesday night, June 22, when it capsized, tossing them all into the water. Trapped Man Rescued From Vehicle Overturned In Lawrence River A man was pulled from the water after an upside-down vehicle that was partially submerged in a river, officials say.  Firefighters rescued the man after his vehicle rolled into the Spicket River on the night of Sunday, May 21, according to Lawrence Fire Chief Brian Moriarty.  Firefighters arrived at the scene on Haverhill Road to find the vehicle lying on its roof in the river. Firefighter Paul King dressed in rescue gear, entered the river, and successfully pulled the man to safety.   The rescued man was "somewhat non-cooperative" and may have been intoxicated, although that has not been…
