Update: The 82-year-old man who was hit by a car earlier this week in Stoughton has died. Police ID'd the man as Joaquin Soares of Stoughton. Original: An 82-year-old man remained hospitalized after he was hit by a car in Stoughton on Thursday evening, Aug. 22, authorities said. 6-Year-Old Hospitalized Following Carlisle Crash; Teen Cited
Authorities said they have cited a 17-year-old boy with causing a crash in Carlisle that sent a 6-year-old to the hospital, where he remains more than a week later. The two-car crash happened around 7:30 p.m. on July 15 at the North Road and Rutland Street intersection. Police said the 17-year-old was behind the wheel of a Nissan Altima that blew through a stop sign and crashed into a Nissan Rogue, police said. A Medford man who was killed after being stabbed in East Boston on Friday, Dec. 15, was identified as an expectant father. A fundraiser has been created to help his family. Woman Saved After Icy Plunge Off Boston Bridge: Police
A woman who jumped off a bridge with the intent to end her life was brought to safety by firefighters and state police marine units, officials say. Police and fire departments were notified that a woman was in the ocean near North Washington Street Bridge on Tuesday, Feb. 7 around 9:45 p.m., according to Massachusetts State Police. Four people are in the hospital after a car drove into a tree in one town just north of Boston, authorities said. Police responded to the single-crash in the area of 131 Vernon Street around 2:41 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5, Wakefield Police said.
