Fire At Tufts Medical Center Temporarily Suspends Orange Line Service: MBTA
Orange Line service was temporarily suspended between North Station and Back Bay after a fire reportedly broke out on Wednesday afternoon, June 28. A train reported flames within the track area in front of the train as it was pulling into Tufts Medical Center around 11:50 a.m., an MBTA spokesperson tells Daily Voice. Boston Fire responded to the scene to put out the fire while power was cut to the third rail, they added. A four-day search for a 6-year-old boy who was swept into the Merrimack River has come to a close after a kayaker found a body authorities believe to be his. Massachusetts State Police announced that a body believed to be that of 6-year-old Mas DeChhat was located in the Pipers Quarry area of the river on the morning of Sunday, June 12.
