Lynn Man Dies After Apartment Fire; Marks State's 40th Fire Fatality Of Year
A Massachusetts man who was severely injured in an apartment fire over the weekend has died, authorities said. The man, a Lynn resident in his 40s, was found unconscious on the third floor of a six-family apartment building at 104-106 Lewis St. around 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 28, the State Fire Marshal's Office said. The man's name has not been released. Crews contained the fire to a single room and extinguished it in about an hour. 1 Dead In Early Morning Cambridge Apartment Fire; 15 Left Homeless
One person is dead, and more than a dozen are without homes to begin the new year after an early morning fire in Cambridge burned through an apartment complex, officials said. The blaze began just after 4:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 2, at a four-story Chester Street apartment building, state fire officials said. Smoke from a multi-alarm fire was seen pouring from the top of a Quincy apartment building, NBC10 Boston reports. The fire was reported at the 60 block of Willard Street on Friday afternoon, May 26, according to Quincy Police on Facebook. The fire was said to be in a brick apartment building on that street.
