New Update: Man Who Kidnapped Child In Boston Arrested The Suffolk County man who stole a truck with a child still inside was arrested, officials say.  Cristofanes Mendes, age 33, of Boston, was arrested via a warrant on Monday, July 31 around 10:30 a.m. two weeks after he stole a truck with a toddler still inside of it on Friday, July 14, according to the Boston Police Department.  Mendes jumped in a truck and drove away in the area of 430 Geneva Avenue.
