'Armed And Dangerous' Teen Wanted In Bridgeton Man's Killing, Police Say
Police were searching for a teen believed to be "armed and dangerous" after a Bridgeton man was killed, authorities said. Kevon Williams, 24, died in the shooting on Sunday, Nov. 24, the Bridgeton Police Department said in a news release. Officers responded to the scene on the 100 block of Cottage Avenue at approximately 11:18 a.m. Police found Williams suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Duo Indicted For Murder In Neptune Man's 2022 Killing, Prosecutors Say
Two men were facing murder charges in connection with the deadly shooting of a Neptune Township man more than two and a half years ago, authorities said. A grand jury indicted Kedrick Chatmon of Keansburg and Lamare Walker of Barnegat were indicted for first-degree murder and first-degree conspiracy to commit murder, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond Santiago said in a news release on Monday, Nov. 25. Man Impersonated Closed Electrical Contractor To Scam Medford Homeowner, Police Say
A Mount Laurel man was accused of impersonating the owner of a closed electrical contractor, scamming a Medford Township resident out of thousands of dollars, authorities said. Vincent Squire, 61, was given eight charges, the Medford Township Police Department said in a news release. A Medford resident paid $4,675 to Squire to hire CB's Electrical Contracting, LLC in May to perform electrical work at their home. A Wall Township man was given a federal charge after he was accused of stealing more than $17,000 from a bank, authorities said. Jeffrey Kniffin, 50, was charged with armed bank robbery, New Jersey's U.S. Attorney said in a news release. He was arrested after the robbery at the Bank of America on Route 35 on Wednesday, Oct. 23. A southeastern Connecticut man died more than a week after he was hit by an SUV while crossing a busy Jersey Shore road, authorities said. Man Confesses To Sexually Assaulting Two Children Under 13 In BurlCo, Prosecutors Say
A Gloucester City man admitted to sexually assaulting two children nearly four years ago, authorities said. Henry Papaleo, 58, pleaded guilty to two counts of second-degree sexual assault of a child less than 13 years of age, Burlington County Prosecutor LaChia Bradshaw said in a news release.
