Found: Police Seek Boston 16-Year-Old Missing For Days

The teenager was safely located on Friday, May 19, officials say.

Police are seeking the public's help to locate a teenager who has previously alluded to harming himself. 

Matthew Johnson, a missing 16-year-old from East Boston, was last seen around 8 a.m. on Wednesday, May 17 in the area of 59 Trustman Terrace, according to the Boston Police Department. 

Johnson, a 5-foot-9 Black male, is known to frequent the Noyes playground and Paris Street Park and Gym.

He was last seen wearing a black hat with white designs printed all over it, a black hoodie with an anime character printed on it, khaki-colored pants, and possibly black and green Nike sneakers. He was seen carrying a green and grey backpack.

Police request that anyone with information about Johnson's location call either 911 or call detectives at 617-343-4234.
