(Update) Cyclist Killed By Garbage Truck At Boston Intersection: Police

Update: The cyclist struck at the intersection of Hano and Cambridge streets in Boston has died from his injuries, authorities said. Officials have not released the man's name, and no charges have been filed against the driver of the garbage truck that hit him as of Monday afternoon.

Original: A man riding a bike suffered life-threatening injuries on Monday, Dec. 19, after he was hit by a garbage truck at a Boston intersection. 

Officers arrived at the intersection of Hano and Cambridge streets in Brighton to find the man critically injured by the truck shortly after 10 a.m., Boston police said.

Paramedics rushed him to an area hospital, police told the Daily Voice.

The garbage truck's driver remained on the scene.

Boston homicide detectives and traffic officers are investigating. 

No further details about the incident were immediately available.
