Urgent Warning Issued For 1M+ Jeeps That Can Catch Fire Even When Turned Off A fire risk warning has been issued for more than 1 million Jeep vehicles because of a power steering wiring problem that could spark a fire, federal regulators said. Stellantis has recalled 1,076,999 vehicles, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report filed on Thursday, June 4. The recall includes certain 2021 through 2025 Jeep Wrangler SUVs and Gladiator pickups. The vehicles' electric hydraulic power steering pump wiring may overheat and cause a fire.
