Police ID Worker Killed When Home Under Construction Collapses In Weymouth; 4 Others Injured A 29-year-old construction worker died Thursday, Jan. 28, after a house under construction collapsed in Weymouth, officials said. Mario Diaz Obando was critically injured when the structure on Vine Street came down around noon, according to Norfolk District Attorney Michael W. Morrissey. He was rushed to South Shore Hospital, where he later died. He was one of five workers injured when the house collapsed. Woman ID'd As Victim Hit, Killed In Weymouth Crash Police identified a 78-year-old woman as the victim in a pedestrian versus car crash in Weymouth earlier this week.  Harjit Thakral, of Weymouth, was hit by an SUV as she walked in the 300 block of Washington Street on Wednesday, Nov. 20, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office said.  Paramedics took Thakral to South Shore Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead at 1:40 p.m.  The SUV's driver remained at the scene and worked with investigators, the prosecutor's office said. No charges have been filed.  The crash remains under investigation.

Crack Pipe Found Under Driver's Seat In Truck That Crashed At Dunkin' Drive-Thru In Cohasset Police have charged a 28-year-old Halifax man after police found a crack pipe and cocaine in his truck after he crashed into another car in the drive-thru at a Cohasset Dunkin' last week, authorities said.  Alex Neumeier is charged with operating under the influence — drugs, negligent operation, and trafficking in a Class B drug over 100 grams, the Cohasset police said.  Officers were called to the King Street Dunkin' on Tuesday, June 18, after Neumeier slammed into another car in the drive-thru.
