Two women accused of stealing more than $2,000 worth of merchandise from T.J. Maxx didn’t get far. Police caught up with them at a Wendy’s drive-thru across the street. According to Auburn Police, an alert employee called in the theft after watching the suspects speed away from the store in a black Ford Edge with Connecticut plates. Officers didn’t have to search far. Sgt. The Central Massachusetts community is grieving the loss of a 19-year-old Auburn woman after she was killed in a crash that left her car overturned and submerged in Stoneville Reservoir. Finleigh Dragon, 19, was discovered in the reservoir off Rochdale Street around 2:20 a.m., according to Auburn police and fire officials. Auburn Officer Busted In Child Predator Sting After Trying To Meet Teen Girls Online: DA
A two-week undercover operation targeting adults accused of attempting to pay for sex with children led to the arrest of multiple men in Western Massachusetts. Law enforcement officers posed as 14- and 15-year-old girls on social media and online platforms. The suspects believed they were speaking with real minors and traveled to prearranged locations in an attempt to exchange money for sex. One of the men arrested was an Auburn police officer. Anheuser-Busch has alerted state officials that it plans to eliminate nearly 200 jobs at a facility in Medford later this year, reports said.
