Beloved Army Veteran, Fiancé Remembered As Loyal Protector After Fatal Saratoga Crash A devastated New York family is mourning the sudden loss of a 32-year-old Army veteran and fiancé who was killed in a motorcycle crash. Cody Groat died following a single-vehicle wreck in Saratoga County, on Swaggertown Road in Charlton, on Saturday evening, June 7, according to the Saratoga County Sheriff’s Office.
