Terrance Gore, a World Series champion known for his blazing speed and clutch postseason appearances, has died at the age of 34.
Gore, a beloved teammate on several MLB teams, died after what his wife described on social media as a complication during a routine surgical procedure, according to multiple reports.
The former New York Met spent eight years in the Majors, playing in just 112 games, almost exclusively as a pinch-running specialist. Gore made just 14 starts in his career, tallying 85 at-bats with one RBI and three extra-base hits.
