Western Mass Man ID'd As Victim In Fatal Alleged Drunk-Driving Crash Police have identified a 59-year-old Hampden County man as the victim in an alleged drunk driving crash last week.  James Menard, of Chicopee, was killed on Thursday, July 25, after another driver crashed into his car along Memorial Drive in Chicopee, pinning him inside, the Hampden District Attorney's Office said. A passenger in Menard's car suffered minor injuries in the crash. Police were called to a two-car crash on Memorial Drive Thursday night, July 25. (Update) Police Searching For Woman Missing For Days In Western Mass Update: Chicopee police say they have found Brenda Pike.  Original: Chicopee police are asking for the public's help in finding a woman who has been missing since Thursday, July 4.  Brenda Pike, 62, was last seen leaving a home in Chicopee and hasn't been spotted since. She is believed to be driving a red 2008 Chrysler Town and Country van with the Connecticut license plate BN30439.  Anyone who spots Pike or her van should immediately contact Chicopee detectives at 413-594-1740.

The car that hit her was later found abandoned and on fire.  Lutricia Daniels, of Chicopee, was walking along Main Street at 11:55 p.m. when a Honda Accord slammed into her and sped away, Hartford police said. 2 Men Plead Guilty To Raping Children In Western Mass In Separate Cases Two Hampden County men who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting children in separate cases were sentenced to more than a decade in prison each, authorities said on Wednesday, May 22.  Thomas Ciccolini, 48, of Chicopee, admitted on May 9 to eight counts of aggravated rape of a child, two counts of posing a child in a sexual act, indecent assault and battery on a child under 14, and possession of child pornography, the Hampden District Attorney said.  He was sentenced to 12 to 14 years in prison.
