'Funniest Person In World': 70-Year-Old Man Dies Near Wellesley College
A 70-year-old died while walking near Wellesley College on Wednesday morning, Dec. 27. Silas Logan was found unresponsive by officers who arrived at a slightly wooded area on Central Street near Weston Road shortly after 9 a.m., the Essex District Attorney’s Office told MassLive. A person who reported the incident was performing CPR when officers responded to the scene and took over lifesaving measures, Wellesley police said. Three homes in Wellesley have been burglarized in the past week, and police are warning residents to be on the lookout for these commonalities. The first burglary happened on Appian Drive on Friday evening, Dec. 8, when suspects forced their way in from the back of the house and ran off with some items, police said. Man Struck, Killed By Commuter Rail Train Between Wellesley, Natick: DA
A man has died after he was was struck and killed by a Commuter Rail train on the Wellesley/Natick line, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports. Emergency crews responded to the train tracks along East Central Street, between Wellesley Square and Natick Center, just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, the DA's Office said. Truck Fire Causing Traffic Problems In Wellesley
Wellesley police have closed Washington Street after a cleaning truck caught fire on Friday afternoon, Sept. 9. All cars are being detoured to Dover Road, but the extra traffic is causing delays, authorities tweeted. Wellesley Police and Massachusetts State Police were on the scene of a crash where a truck rolled over onto a car on Route 128 North in Wellesley, both departments said on Twitter.
