$1M Lottery Jackpot: Winner Finally Claims Payday 2 Months After $1B Drawing The person in Medford who claimed a small portion of the $1 billion Powerball drawing earlier this year has collected their $1 million prize.  They won the seven-figure sum in the mult-state Powerball drawing on April 3.  Genesis X Trust of Quincy claimed the prize on behalf of the winner. Their name was not released.  The winning ticket was sold at Wegmans at 3850 Mystic Valley Pkwy. in Medford. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for the sale.

Wegmans Says Goodbye To Plastic Bags At Virginia Stores Customers will soon no longer be able to get single-use plastic bags at Wegmans stores in Virginia, the company announced this week.  The grocery chain said stores in Leesburg, Dulles, Potomac, Lake Manassas, Virginia Beach, and Charlottesville would stop using the bags beginning on July 1.
