Construction workers in Waltham got a scare on Monday, Nov. 27, when they found a cache of unexploded cannon balls buried on a job site. Workers were on a job site at 41 Foundry Avenue when they found the 12 potentially explosive cannonballs, Massachusetts State Police said. The unexploded ordinances were found inside a pipe that workers uncovered. A gas station employee was restocking shelves when he began to feel lightheaded, due to a then-unknown problem that created an oxygen-deficient atmosphere inside the gas station, officials say. A male employee began work at 6 a.m., restocking shelves in the cooler at the Speedway at 66 Prospect Street in Waltham when he began to feel lightheaded and called 911, according to the Waltham Fire Department. Two workers are hospitalized following a chemical spill at a laboratory in the Greater Boston Area, officials said. Hazmat crews along with Waltham Fire Department responded to the spill at a laboratory at Azenta Life Sciences in Waltham on the afternoon of Monday, Nov. 14, WCVB reports.
