Boston Man's Illegible Graffiti Paints More Dangerous Picture
A 22-year-old Boston man caught spray painting "gang" signs at an MBTA station earlier this week should have left his paint at home as it led to his arrest on much more serious charges. Jeremiah Springer of Roxbury was spotted by someone allegedly tagging a wall at Copley Station on Thursday, Sept. 15, a little after 8 p.m., who told a nearby officer, transit police said. Cops noticed the graffiti, which was illegible outside of the word gang, and searched for the artist. New Bed Bath & Beyond Store Closures Include 3 Massachusetts Locations
Struggling home goods retailer Bed Bath & Beyond has announced 56 new store closures that it says will be implemented by the end of the calendar year. The closure list includes three locations in Massachusetts: Worcester County: 230 Fortune Boulevard, Milford Suffolk County: 8B Allstate Road, Dorchester Bristol County: 35 Highland Ave., Seekonk The company is due to report its results for the second quarter later this month. Bed Bath & Beyond now has about 900 stores, including those scheduled to be closed. The full list of new closures is available here.

Anti-Semitic Signs Hung Over Route 1 In Saugus Likely Linked To Neo Nazi Group

Boston city councilor Ricardo Arroyo lost some key endorsements this week after one of the women who accused him of sexual assault as a teenager said his candidacy for Suffolk County District Attorney made her "sick." Lawsuit Claims Ex-Arlington Catholic High Administrator Abused Student At School For Years
A former student of Arlington Catholic High School has filed a lawsuit against three former officials at the Archdiocese of Boston because he said they hired and failed to stop the school's former vice principal who molested him, a news report said. Kevin Doherty contends in the suit that the former administrator sexually assaulted him multiple times between 1999 and 2001, Universal Hub reported. An elderly Suffolk County woman has contracted Massachusetts' first case of the West Nile Virus, state health officials announced on Thursday, Aug. 25. The one upside of the drought this year has been the smaller-than-normal population of mosquitos, which transmit the virus. So, the risk has been lower than usual, but health officials said this new case is a reminder that the threat isn't eliminated. Dorchester Man Facing Charges For Luring Teenage Girl To Boston For Sex: DA
A Boston man is being held without bail for luring an underage girl to Massachusetts for sex, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office said. Jimall "Progress Lu" Dawn Brown, age 33, of Dorchester, used social media to bring the teen to Boston from another state and pawn her off to have sex with men. Upon her arrival, Brown brought the teen to a hotel and posted sex trafficking ads online, the office said. Police arrested a 40-year-old Boston and charged him with the rape of a woman in Chinatown over the weekend. Edwin Ramirez was arrested on Sunday night, Aug. 14, in connection with a sexual assault that happened near Hudson Street just before 5 a.m., Boston police said. A multi-agency police operation a 22-year-old Lynn man this week for selling a large amount of fentanyl and other drugs, authorities said. Michael Valentin faces several charges across multiple jurisdictions following his arrest on Monday, July 25, the Revere Police Department announced. A Boston jury found Victor Pena guilty Tuesday, July 26, of kidnapping a 23-year-old woman and raping her over multiple days at his Charlestown apartment in 2019, reports said.
