Brookline Japanese Bakery (Finally) Set To Reopen After Years After two years, over $40,000 in donations, and some uncertainty, a Japanese bakery that started in 1985 is set to reopen.  Japonaise Bakery and Cafe, located at 1020 Beacon Street in Brookline, churned out 'kawaii' baked goods and treats until 2021 when the dessert shop closed its doors for renovations.
