Walmart Issues Massive Recall For Juice Product Sold In 23 States, Including MA
Apple juice sold at Walmart has been recalled due to high arsenic levels.
The US Food and Drug Administration says 9,535 cases of the company's Great Value brand 100 percent apple juice were sold in six-packs of 8-ounce plastic bottles bearing this expiration date: Best if Used by DEC2824 CT89-6, and a UPC code of 0-78742-29655-5.
According to the FDA, the product contains inorganic arsenic above the action level set in industry guidance (13.2 parts per billion).

Accused Quincy Teen Killer Arrested In Puerto Rico, Returned To Mass: DA
A man police say shot and killed 17-year-old Nathan Paul in Quincy last year and fled to Puerto Rico has been arrested and brought back to Massachusetts, the Norfolk County District Attorney said.
Keniel Diaz-Romero, formerly of Quincy, will be arraigned later this week on charges of murder, larceny from a person, possession of a counterfeit bill, uttering a counterfeit bill, conspiracy to commit larceny, and unlawfully carrying a firearm, the prosecutor said.

Newly-named Tropical Storm Bret is expected to become the first hurricane of the 2023 season.
Tropical Depression 3, which developed on Monday morning, June 19 in the central Atlantic, strengthened to tropical-storm status later in the day.
“While it is rare to get a storm to develop over the south-central Atlantic in June, it is not completely unheard of,” said AccuWeather Tropical Meteorologist Alex DaSilva.

Fiona Becomes Hurricane, Could Bring 'Life-Threatening Flash Flooding' To Puerto Rico
Tropical Storm Fiona has just strengthened to Category 1 hurricane status.
Fiona, the sixth named storm of the 2022 Atlantic hurricane season, is located about 50 miles southwest of Puerto Rico at around midday on Sunday, Sept. 18, the National Hurricane Center said.
It is the third hurricane of the 2020 season, ending Wednesday, November 30. It began Wednesday, June 1.
A northwestward movement is expected to begin later Sunday and continue through Monday, Sept. 19, followed by a north-northwest turn on Tuesday, Sept. 20, the hurricane center noted.
