A 12-year-old was arrested for sending a threat of a mass shooting to a Norfolk County middle school, authorities announced on Sunday, March 10. The child, whose name was not released, was arrested after police learned about the threat made against Coakley Middle School in a group text given to officials on Friday, Norwood police said in a news release. A 68-year-old man is dead following an ammonia leak at a commercial building in Norwood, officials said. Norwood Police and Fire responded to the leak at 140 Morgan Drive in Norwood around shortly after 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 19, the Norfolk County District Attorney's Office reports. ARL: Dog Dumped On Side Of The Road With Second-Degree Burns In Norwood
The Animal Rescue League of Boston (ARL) is helping a 1-year-old dog who was found suffering from severe burns to 20% of its body this week in Norwood. Annie was found with second-degree burns to her head, neck, shoulders, front limbs and abdomen along Route 1 around Ellis Avenue, the ARL said. She was wearing a leash and collar but did not have any tags or microchip. An Amazon employee appeared to have taken his own life outside his place of employment earlier this month, authorities said. Norwood Police placed a call about a man who was injured at the Amazon warehouse in Norwood, located at 750 Everett Street, around 8:15 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 19, Norfolk County District Attorney spokesperson David Traub confirmed to Daily Voice.
