Dockworkers and port companies have come to a tentative agreement on a new six-year deal, avoiding another work stoppage that would cause major shipping disruptions along the East Coast. Standoff With Armed Man Inside Middlesex Co. Home Ends Peacefully: Police
A police negotiator was able to talk a man who had barricaded himself inside a Middlesex County apartment Sunday afternoon, Sept. 10, out of the home without bloodshed, authorities said. Officers were called to 7 Elm Court in Maynard just before 12:30 p.m. because a man was destroying things with a hatchet, Maynard police said. Cambridge Man Slashes Woman's Hair With 'Large Knife' Post Argument: Police
An argument culminated with a terrifying haircut when a man used a large knife to cut a woman's hair before locking himself inside his home, authorities reported. The 30-year-old would-be cosmetologist barricaded himself after fighting with the woman and cutting her hair outside his apartment on Gore Street in East Cambridge on Tuesday, Dec. 6, Cambridge Police report.
