Plainclothes Officer Shot Sitting In Car Near Boston School Playground: Police A Boston police officer somehow escaped injury after officials said a man shot him multiple times over the weekend while he sat in his car near an elementary school.  Alberto Polanco, 20, of Roxbury, is charged in the alleged attack just after 6 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 25, the Boston Police Department said.  The officer was in his unmarked patrol car at 43 Waumbeck Street near Trotter Elementary School when police say Polanco walked over and started firing.
