Former Charlestown High School Student Charged With Firing Shots During Graduation
A former Charlestown High School student has been charged with firing shots nearby the school's graduation ceremony earlier this year, the Suffolk County District Attorney's Office reports. Djeison Resende, age 21, of Brockton is being held without bail and awaiting a dangerousness hearing after appearing in court on several charges on Thursday, Aug. 12, the office reports. The charges, including assault with a dangerous weapon and discharging a firearm within 500 feet of a dwelling, stem from a shooting that happened near Charlestown High School on June 13. Person Accidentally Shoots Themself Outside Stoughton Target: Police
One person is in the hospital after they appeared to accidentally shoot themself outside the Target in Stoughton, authorities said. Police responded to a call of a person shot in the parking lot of the store at 1 Hawes Way around 6:46 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 1, Stoughton Police said. Upon arrival, officers located a female victim suffering from a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the leg. She was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The firearm was later taken by police and the incident remains under investigation.

Drunk Boston Teenager Driving Scooter Wrong Way Strikes Police Cruiser
A 16-year-old from East Boston was arrested after he drove his scooter into a Boston Police cruiser while drunk, authorities said. The teenager was traveling the wrong down Helen Street onto Bernard Street in Dorchester when he struck the cruiser just before 3 a.m. on Saturday, June 25, Boston Police said. In addition, a 16-year-old passenger from Jamaica Plain fled the scene on foot. Police recovered a 9mm Beretta APX firearm with an obliterated serial number as he flew, police said.
