'Unstoppable' Puppy Makes Cross-Country Trek For Lifesaving Surgery In Mass A homeless puppy who was literally facing life or death traveled from Arizona to Massachusetts for a surgery that ended up saving her, animal rescue officials said.  Valentina, a 12-week-old Chocolate Lab, was surrendered to a private veterinary practice in Arizona, the MSCPA-Angell reports. The puppy was unable to keep food down and was later diagnosed with vascular ring anomaly.  The rare disorder results in the entrapment and constriction of the esophagus and requires corrective surgery so that dogs can eat, the agency said.  Valentina is expected to undergo surgery on Friday, Feb. …
