Police Offering $5K Reward For Stephen Paul Gale's Arrest
New DNA testing technology has helped police identify a suspect in the violent rape, robbery, and kidnapping of two women 34 years ago in Massachusetts, and authorities are now asking the public to help them capture him. Stephen Paul Gale, 71, is charged with four counts of aggravated rape, two counts of kidnapping, and one count of armed robbery of two women at the Hit or Miss store in Framingham in 1989, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Remains Of Woman Found In Western Mass Woods Identified After 35 Years
The remains of a 65-year-old woman whose body was found in a wooded area in Franklin County have been identified thanks to new advancements in DNA testing. How she ended up there remains a mystery, but prosecutors have a person of interest. Constance Holminski Bassignani was found not far off the road on Route 76 in Warwick on June 24, 1989. A Cambridge man has confessed to the violent rape of a 13-year-old girl more than 23 years ago, authorities announced on Tuesday, Dec. 13. Roger W. Reddick, Jr., 41, pleaded guilty to three counts of rape of a child with force and was sentenced to 10 to 12 years in prison, the Middlesex District Attorney announced.
