450 Patients File Lawsuit Against Salem Hospital After Potential Exposure To HIV, Hepatitis
Patients have filed a class-action lawsuit against Salem Hospital after nearly 450 of them say they were potentially exposed to HIV and hepatitis through their IVs. Endoscopy patients at Salem Hospital “were potentially exposed to infection due to the administration of their intravenous medication in a manner not consistent with our best practice,” the hospital said in a statement to the Daily Voice. West Nile Virus Detected In Massachusetts For The First Time In 2022
West Nile Virus has officially been detected in Massachusetts for the first time this year, the Department of Public Health (DPH) announced on Wednesday, July 13. The virus was found in a mosquito sample found collected on July 11 in Easton, DPH said. Seven Monkeypox Cases Confirmed In Massachusetts
Seven Monkeypox cases have been confirmed in Massachusetts as of Thursday, June 16, the Department of Public Health (DPH) said. This comes nearly a month after the first confirmed case in the state on May 18, according to DPH.
