Shuttle Buses Will Be Used For Parts Of Red Line For Repairs
Commuters will have to take shuttle buses between Alewife and Harvard stations in Cambridge beginning next week as the MBTA makes "critical track" repairs to the Red Line. Work will run from Monday, Feb. 5, through Feb. 14, the MBTA announced on Tuesday, Jan. 30. A man who was struck and killed by a Commuter Rail train in Natick this week has been identified as 52-year-old Joseph Franciose of Natick, officials said. Franciose was struck on the train tracks along East Central Street, between Wellesley Square and Natick Center, just after 4:30 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 13, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports. A 40-year-old man has died after he was struck by a Commuter Rail train in the Fenway neighborhood of Boston, officials said. The man was hit by the train while on the tracks between Back Bay and Landsdowne Station around 9 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 12, MBTA Transit Police tell Daily Voice. The son of the MTBA's Transit Police Chief is being held without bail after he was charged with shooting a Lynn man to death in Everett last month, the Boston Globe reports. Brian Green, age 35, was arrested in connection with the murder of Jarmahl Sutson, age 38, the Middlesex District Attorney's office reports.
