One student from Brandeis University is dead and dozens more are injured following a shuttle bus crash in Waltham over the weekend, authorities said. The bus was carrying 30 students when it crashed into a tree on South Street in Waltham around 10:32 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 19, the Middlesex County District Attorney's Office reports. The bus was performing a routine route from the Boston and Cambridge area, with one of the stops being a hockey game at Northeastern University, the office continued. Cambridge Man With 3 Children In Car Crashed While Drunk, High: Police
A 30-year-old Cambridge man who crashed his car with three children inside had an open bottle of alcohol on the passenger seat, authorities said. Officers also believe he was high on marijuana at the time of the wreck, a report said. A Boston jury found a 41-year-old man guilty on Tuesday, Nov. 8, of raping a teenage girl 12 years ago, authorities said. Anthony Winiarski, of Boston, was convicted of two of three counts of aggravated rape of a child, the Suffolk County District Attorney said.
