Online Gaming Possible Motive Behind Braintree Home Invasion, Police Allege
A knock on the front door of a South Shore home ended with two residents getting assaulted by three men who were allegedly fueled by online gaming or other online activity, authorities said. Braintree Police responded to a report of an armed home invasion at a home on Bickford Road around 7:40 p.m. on Monday, April 25, the department said on Facebook. Upon arrival, officers found two residents outside of the home, one with minor facial injuries. Authorities uncovered thousands of dollars in products after getting a tip about a suspected illegal THC candy operation at a South Shore business last week. The Braintree Police Narcotics Unit searched a commercial business on Mill Lane in Braintree where officers discovered an illegal THC edible/gummy operation on Friday, Dec. 16. The space was furnished with commercial kitchen equipment and packing materials including a large, high-end laser printer intended for printing packages for the edibles, police said. Police Officers Jump Into Action To Save Woman At South Shore Movie Theater
Three officers from the Braintree Police Department were the real stars of the show when they helped a save a woman's life at move theater last weekend. Officers Chris Horigan, Matt Columbus and Mark Gibbons responded for a report of a woman choking at the AMC Theater in Braintree on the evening of Saturday, June 4, the department said on Facebook. Upon arrival, Officer Horigan located the woman on the floor in one of the theaters and began administering aid.
