Multiple $100K Lottery Tickets Sold Across Mass
Two Bay Staters had a very lucky Thursday, June 6, when they collected $100,000 checks for playing the Massachusetts State Lottery. Both winners correctly guessed all five numbers in the Mass Cash drawing. Those were: 3, 10, 15, 16, 21. The winners' names were not released. The winning tickets were sold at Andy's Walnut Mart at 36 Walnut St. in Peabody and Country Convenience at 216 S Main St. in Athol. The stores will receive a $1,000 bonus for the sale. A Worcester County man has been sentenced to 6-12 years in state prison in connection with a fatal 2019 crash in Western Massachusetts, authorities said. Gary Gregoire, of Athol, was sentenced for his role in the crash that took the life of 70-year-old Stephen Karpovich of Amherst, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office reports. Central Mass Man Sentenced To Life In Prison For 2019 Murder Of Kelsey Clifford
A 25-year-old Athol man was sentenced to life in prison for the vicious murder of a 26-year-old Leominster woman almost three years ago, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office reports. Keith Hamel was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole after he was convicted of murdering Kelsey Clifford with a hammer on November 11, 2019, the office reports.
