Teens Help Police Rescue Driver After Arlington Car Crash: Police
Three high school students are being applauded for helping officers rescue an unresponsive man after he crashed his car in Arlington on Thursday night, Dec. 28, authorities said. The crash happened just before 10:15 p.m. when the Honda Civic jumped the curb in front of the Capital Theater at 204 Massachusetts Ave., Arlington police said. Three teen boys who saw the crash stopped to help police get the unconscious man out of the car so police could provide life-saving measures until paramedics could arrive. Hateful Graffiti At Bluebike Station Leads To Arrest Of Arlington Man: Police
An 65-year-old Arlington man was arrested for allegedly vandalizing a Bluebike station multiple times over the past month with homophobic graffiti, authorities said. Albert Silva was charged with four counts of malicious destruction of property of $1,200 after he was arrested on Wednesday, March 22, Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty reports. Three men were hit with several charges each for trying to scam an older Arlington resident out of thousands of dollars in a home improvement scam, authorities said. The resident told police that three men quoted him $200 to fix a small crack on his front steps on Tuesday, Jan. 10, Arlington Police Chief Julie Flaherty reports. A Cambridge man proved that his bark was worse than his bite when he tried – unsuccessfully – to rob a pet store in Arlington, according to authorities. Authorities are offering rewards of up to $5,000 for information regarding an early morning fire that occurred at an empty clergy house in Arlington, fire officials said. Firefighters responded to the area of 22 Appleton Street just before 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, according to a release from State Fire Marshal Peter J. Ostroskey.
