Did You Lose A Giant Snake At Canton Landmark? Police Want A Word Police in Connecticut are asking for the public's help to track down the people who left a ball python at a reservoir in Hartford County.  Video from the Nepaug Reservoir off Route 202 in Canton showed several people dumping the snake and running away just before 4 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 13, Burlington and Canton Animal Control said in a Facebook post. There are several popular hiking and biking trails near the reservoir.  The snake was listed as "young," but was still much too large for this reporter's liking.  Police took the python into custody and are keeping it…

2 People Killed In Fiery I-95 Crash In Groton Two people in Connecticut were killed in a single-vehicle crash on Friday night, Sept. 13, after their truck lost control, hit a guardrail, and burst into flames, authorities said.  Police in New Haven County were called to Exit 87 northbound on I-95 in Groton around 9:20 p.m., Connecticut State Police said.  A red Dodge Ram 1500 had gone off the left side of the exit ramp, struck a guardrail, and bounced into a tree, sparking a fire, police said. Murder-Suicide: Man Forces Way Into Ansonia Home To Shoot Ex-Wife, Kill Himself, Police Say Police believe that a 47-year-old Connecticut man forced his way into a New Haven County home on Thursday morning, Sept. 12, and fatally shot his ex-wife before he turned the gun on himself. New Haven resident Miguelina Lebron, age 45, of Ansonia, was found shot repeatedly at her home on Westfield Avenue, Ansonia police said.
