Rollover Crash With Injuries Closes I-495 In Littleton For Medical Helicopter Operations

A medical helicopter was called to the scene of a rollover crash with injuries, closing both sides of I-495 temporarily, officials say.

The crash occurred on I-495 north at Exit 81, according to a Tweet sent by the Massachusetts Department of Transportation at around 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday, April 18. 

Littleton firefighters and police officers responded to the scene of the crash as well as Massachusetts State Police. 

Both the north and southbound lanes were closed, causing traffic delays. All lanes were opened by 3:50 p.m., according to the Massachusetts Department of Transportation. 

The driver was removed from the vehicle and transported to a hospital by helicopter. Officials have not yet released the driver's condition.
