Newly Minted Millionaire: Western Mass Woman Has Big Plans For Her Major Payday A Hampden County woman turned a $30 lottery ticket into a $1 million check and plans to secure her financial future.  Deborah Gauthier, of Ludlow, won the seven-figure prize playing the Massachusetts State Lottery's "$300X," a $30 scratch-off game.
