Forecasters are tracking the increasing chance of another potential tropical threat that could form in the same area that Helene developed. A new named storm, which would be called Kirk, may form close to the US coast during the first days of October, forecasters say. Line Of Severe Storms Moving Through With Heavy Rain Causing Flooding In Parts Of Region
A line of storms is now moving across the region from west to east, producing drenching downpours that are flooding some areas. A radar image of the region above, from just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, shows severe storms marked in red.
