Trucker Killed Retrieving Item On Mass. Roadway A 36-year-old New York trucker was killed Friday morning, Aug. 16, when he climbed out of his cab after a small accident in Massachusetts before another truck crashed into him, authorities said.  In Hampden County, Nicholas Charles, a resident of Mechanicville in Saratoga County was struck just after 9:45 a.m. near mile marker 33 of Route 90 in Blandford, Massachusetts State Police said.  Police says Charles had struck a guardrail and noticed something had come dislodged from his truck, authorities said. Teen ID'd As Victim In Fatal Springfield Crash On I-91 Authorities in Hampden County have identified the victim of a fatal crash last week on I-91 as a 15-year-old boy.  State police were called to the crash site around 4:30 p.m. near northbound Exit 5 on July 2, authorities said.  Police and paramedics provided medical aid at the scene of the crash, state police said. It's unclear if the teenager died at the scene or a nearby hospital.  The boy's name will not be released because of his age.

Chicopee Woman ID'd As Victim In Fatal CT Hit-Run Crash A 40-year-old Hampden County woman was identified as the victim of a fatal hit-and-run crash Wednesday night, June 19, in Hartford. The car that hit her was later found abandoned and on fire.  Lutricia Daniels, of Chicopee, was walking along Main Street at 11:55 p.m. when a Honda Accord slammed into her and sped away, Hartford police said. Woman Hit, Killed Walking In Springfield A woman was hit and killed on Monday morning, June 3, as she walked along a road in Springfield.  The crash was reported around 4:30 a.m. in the 300 block of Wilbraham Road, Springfield police said. The woman died at the scene. Her name was not released as police reached out to her next of kin.  The driver stayed at the scene and spoke with police, investigators said.  No charges have been filed, but police are investigating the cause of the fatal crash.  This is a developing story.
