15-Year-Old Shot To Death In Lowell Found By Family Member
A 15-year-old girl was repeatedly fatally shot in Lowell on Friday evening, June 14, authorities announced. Lowell police received a 911 call just after 6 p.m. after a family member found the girl inside a Lawrence Street apartment with multiple traumatic injuries to her body, the Middlesex District Attorney said. Investigators found multiple shell casings near her body. Officers were searching the apartment Friday night and into Saturday morning. The investigation is ongoing.

Teen Accused Of Spraying Bullets At Cambridge Basketball Court In Double Shooting: DA
A 19-year-old man is now the second person accused in a double shooting at a basketball court last month in Cambridge, authorities said. Machyus Battle, of Cambridge, was arraigned on multiple felonies linked to the May 23 shooting at Donnelly Field. Battle was being held without bail pending a dangerousness hearing. Cambridge police were called to the 91 Berkshire Street park just after 9:30 p.m. for reports of multiple gunshots. Springfield police are asking the public to donate to help one of their own after he was shot in the head last week, which could leave him blind in one eye. Officer Nestor Santos was seriously injured after he was attacked on Thursday, June 6, while sitting in his unmarked police car in the 600 block of State Street while on his way to work around 10:30 p.m., Springfield police authorities said. Third Suspect Busted In Fatal I-391 Shooting In Western Mass
Police have arrested a third person they say was involved in the fatal shooting of Guyton Winspeare on a stretch of I-391 in Holyoke two months ago, authorities said. Miguel Dones, 21, of Springfield, is charged with murder and a slew of drug offenses after police found narcotics and an AR-15-style rifle in his car during a traffic stop, the Hampden District Attorney said.
