Dunkin', McDonald's, Subway Franchisees Fined $226K+ For Child Labor Violations In MA The owners of nearly 90 Dunkin', McDonald's, and Subway restaurants across Massachusetts have been fined for violating child labor laws, officials said. The three franchisees were cited for violating child labor laws at more than 88 locations, Attorney General Andrea Campbell said in a news release on Tuesday, April 15. The companies punished were Cafua Management Company, The Brewster Company, and Knight Food Service. Newly Minted Millionaire: Hanover Woman Claims $4M Lottery Prize Talk about ending the year with a bang. A Massachusetts woman claimed her $4 million lottery prize on New Year's Eve.  Amanda Demontigny, of Hanover, won the seven-figure prize playing the “$4,000,000 Bonus Money" game, a $10 scratch-off ticket.  She elected to take the lump sum of $2.6 million (before taxes) rather than the annuity.  Demontigny bought the ticket at Richdale Food Shops, 181 South St. in Hingham. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for the sale.

$100K Lottery Ticket Sold In Hanover It's been a very lucky week for one Bay Stater after they won a $100,000 jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  They won the six-figure prize by playing the $30 scratch-off game "$15,000,000 Money Maker." The winner claimed the ticket on Thursday, June 27. It was the biggest jackpot that day.  The winner's name was not announced.  The ticket was sold at Grampy's General Store at 148 King St. in Hanover.
