No Bail For Teen Accused Of Fatal Stabbing During Chelsea Street Brawl: DA
An 18-year-old is being held without bail after authorities say he fatally stabbed someone in a fight over the weekend in Chelsea. Joksin Briones-Blandon, of Malden, is charged with first-degree murder in the slaying of 44-year-old Santos Cartegena on Saturday, July 20, the Suffolk County District Attorney said. Police were called to the Highland and Grove Street intersection around 10 p.m. to reports of several men fighting. Cartegena, who suffered multiple stab wounds in the brawl, took himself to the Whidden Hospital. He was later rushed to Beth Israel Hospital for surgery. …

Haverhill Man Gets Life In Prison For 'Horrific' 2019 Groveland Murder: DA
A Haverhill man who viciously beat an 82-year-old man with a lamp before stabbing him to death will spend the rest of his life in prison, a judge ruled on Friday, June 21. Leedell Graham, age 53, was convicted on Tuesday, June 18, of the 2019 murder of Patsy “Pat” Schena at Scena's home in Groveland, the Essex County District Attorney said. The jury found Graham guilty of first-degree murder with extreme atrocity or cruelty and breaking and entering with the intent to commit larceny over $1,200.
