The crash happened just after 7 p.m. on Monday when the 58-year-old man was hit by the car while crossing Southern Artery near Broad Street, Quincy police said. Paramedics rushed him to a Boston hospital, where he died of his injuries on Tuesday morning.  Police have not released the man's name pending notification of his next of kin.
