Haverhill Mom Of 2 ID'd As Woman Hit, Killed By Car In Methuen A 23-year-old mother was struck and killed earlier this week in Methuen, authorities announced. Erika Newvill, of Haverhill, was hit by a Honda CR-V near 301 Merrimack St. (Route 110) around 7:10 p.m. on Tuesday, March 11. The driver remained at the scene, Methuen police said.  Paramedics rushed Newvill to Lawrence General Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries, authorities said. Expect Heavy Traffic In Haverhill, Methuen After Water Main Bursts Causes I-495 Sinkhole: DOT Massachusetts Department of Transportation officials warn drivers in Haverhill and Methuen to expect heavy delays on Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 7-8, as crews repair a sinkhole on I-495.  A water main break beneath the highway opened up the sinkhole just after Exit 106 in the southbound lanes, State Police said, forcing authorities to close two lanes. Troopers said drivers should expect major delays on the interstate through the Methuen-Haverhill corridor and on interchanges at Routes 213, 110, 97, and 125.  Officials expect to have the water main repaired Monday night. $100,000 Lottery Ticket Sold In Methuen It was a lucky weekend for one Bay Stater after they won a $100,000 jackpot in the Massachusetts State Lottery.  The winner correctly guessed all five numbers in the Mass Cash drawing on Sunday, June 2. Those were: 4, 10, 13, 23, 31.  The winner's name was not released.  They bought the ticket at Plaza Liquors at 182 Haverhill St. in Methuen.
