Major Storm Headed To East Coast: Here's Wintry Mix, Accumulating Snow Map
There is increasing confidence that a massive storm headed toward the East Coast will bring accumulating snowfall in areas of the Northeast farther south and a mix of sleet and snow farther north. The system will move through the Midwest over the weekend before arriving in much of the Northeast on Monday, Jan. 6, according to the National Weather Service. Line Of Severe Storms Moving Through With Heavy Rain Causing Flooding In Parts Of Region
A line of storms is now moving across the region from west to east, producing drenching downpours that are flooding some areas. A radar image of the region above, from just before 3:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 6, shows severe storms marked in red.
