Authorities ID Western Mass Man Killed In Job Site Accident Authorities have identified the man killed last week in western Massachusetts after falling into a silo used to mix concrete. Matthew Nedorostek, 66, of Westfield, fell into the Greenfield silo just before 9 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, the Northwestern District Attorney's Office said. Western Mass Man Killed By Machinery On CT Farm; Osha Investigating A man was killed this week after he was hit by a piece of heavy machinery in Connecticut, authorities said.  The 68-year-old Springfield, Massachusetts, man was at Lindy Farms on Fletcher Road when a skid steer loader backed into him just after 11:15 a.m., Enfield Police said. Authorities believe he was bending over, and the driver could not see him. Worker Killed At Sterling Quarry ID'd As Townsend Man A 67-year-old Middlesex County man was identified as the worker who was killed when a rock ledge fell on Thursday, Aug. 22, and crushed an excavator at a Massachusetts quarry.   Brian Curtis Derby, 67, of Townsend, died just before 8 a.m. when the rocks fell on his heavy machinery at the Sterling quarry along Stone Crest Way, the Worcester County District Attorney said.  Firefighters and crews worked through the day and night to retrieve Derby's body from beneath the rubble.  Sterling leaders ordered that workers stop all earth removal operations until the Occupati…
