Beloved Teacher, Grad From Western Mass School Remembered For Positive Impact On Students A beloved teacher who was a fixture at a Northern Westchester high school for decades is being remembered for her contagious positive energy and her tremendous impact on her students throughout her long career.   Elizabeth “Betsy” Groat of Ho-Ho-Kus in Bergen County died on Wednesday, Oct. 30 after a battle with cancer, according to her obituary.   Groat, who taught physical education and coached at Westlake High School in Thornwood, dedicated 38 years to inspiring and supporting student-athletes in the Mount Pleasant School District, according to a GoFundMe page created…

Huskies Show Him The Money: Hurley Signs New $50M Deal With UConn Head coach Dan Hurley of the two-time national champion University of Connecticut men's basketball team has hit the jackpot by signing a new $50 million, six-year contract with the program. The school announced the deal on Monday, July 8, saying Hurley was the best college basketball coach in the nation. Under the new contract, Hurley will receive a base salary of $400,000 yearly and additional compensation for speaking, consulting, and media obligations of $6.375 million this year.
