A pet store with locations across Massachusetts is filing for bankruptcy less than five years after announcing its opening. Loyal Companion, a pet shop with a focus on natural wellness, announced on Monday, Feb. 6 that all stores with the name would close within the month, according to their website. Investigating After Worker Falls 20 Feet At Wayland Construction Site
The US Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating after a construction worker fell about 20 feet at a construction site in Wayland, authorities said. Wayland Fire and Police responded to the incident at a construction site at 82 Plain Road around 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 15, authorities said. Upon arrival, first responders found a 27-year-old male worker suffering from serious injuries. An apparent murder-suicide is being investigated by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office as well as the state and local police. The community has mourned a handful of apparent murder-suicides in recent months - three of which happened in Worcester County. The crimes took place in Worcester and Gardner, as well as Somerset, Wayland, and nearby Windsor Locks, Conn.
